Home Pet Show Winners!

Congratulations to all the winners of our Home Pet Show that took place as part of the Virtual One Fun Day on 14th June! Whilst we are gutted lockdown stopped our Fun Day event from taking place, we will be back bigger and better on Saturday 19th June 2021!

We loved seeing everyone’s entries and wish they could all have won, but in the end we did have to choose seven winners across our categories. And here they are!

Star was rescued from a life of breeding aged 4 and is now 11! She won our Golden Oldie and her owner Steph says “she is the most placid dog despite her rough start”. We loved her story and she shows how wonderful it is to adopt rescue pets.

Tiggy is your Perfectly Imperfect winner! Born with a twisted spine, owner Claire says “she has her own little way of getting around” What a fab ferret!

We chose Tiggy as she proves pets that have quirks and differences can live full and happy lives!

Here is Scar as king of the garden! His owner Clare tells us he brought “great friendship” to her daughter, especially during recovery from surgery. A true friend and our winner of Best Companion!

This winner shows how pets can be companions and caring just as much as we are to them, with love on both sides.

20-month old Skye is winner of Best Trick! We loved this perfect show of reward-based training, a well-earned fuss afterwards, and fun.

Owner Kat says during the clap for key workers, ‘she would squeak her rainbow bone in appreciation’!

Holly won in the national final of the Home Pet Show for the under 10s Animal Artwork! We loved her entry as it showed off what we do as a cruelty case centre perfectly, helping poorly cats and dogs.

After going through to the national final, they loved it too, and chose it as overall winner in this category! Congratulations!

This stunning portrait is by Lewis who won the 10-15 Animal Artwork! He drew his #1 friend Raphael who’s been snuggling and providing fun all through lockdown!

The words in the background reads: ‘Because of lockdown, I get to spend more time with my #1 friend, Raphael! I have been playing with a jingly ball and sleeping together. She has been sleeping lots too!

This beautiful girl is Chloe, winner of the 16+ artwork category! Her owner (and artist!) Debbie says that despite spinal surgery, she is a determined girl and working hard to get back on her feet!

We loved this and her story of never giving up.

All our winners will receive a certificate, rosette, and voucher for use with dog sitting service, Rover.
