Daisy recovers after eye operation

Daisy is one of the sorriest cases at our shelter. With love, TLC, and some really important vet treatment (including an eye operation), seeing her bounce back is so inspirational.

When her owner couldn’t cope with looking after her any more, Daisy was soon in real need of extra care. Her fur was really matted, including around her feet that were more like sponges. She had to be sedated even to be clipped, as her paws were in such a bad state.

Poor Daisy was suffering badly with severe ulcers on both her eyes. They were causing ongoing pain. Whilst one could be treated fully, her left eye had been left far too long. The vets decided to remove her eye to end the painfulness.

Now, just look at the transformation! This beautiful pup has been staying in a foster home where she has had cuddles, long walks on the beach, and all the love she’d missed out on. Her foster family were supported every step of the way with supplies, advice and treatment at our centre in return for helping Daisy to feel cared for again.
