Save Our Shelter
We need your help!

The branch is due to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023, but now needs urgent financial donations to keep its gates open so it can continue to provide vital welfare services to local animals affected by neglect and abuse.

As an independent charity we rely on public generosity to help us care for the dozens of animals we home and rehabilitate.

Bella's story

Our shelter is a lifeline to help puppies like Bella who needed an amputation at just 6 months old. A contribution of any size will mean complex recoveries like these can continue.

Bella’s amputation was caused by an untreated complex fracture in her front leg. Her puppyhood had been ruined, stopping Bella from gaining much-needed exposure to the world around her and leaving her incredibly nervous.

It quickly became clear that her leg would never heal properly, and vets decided to amputate it to give her the absolute best chance of a full recovery.

Dogs adapt well to life three legs, and Bella was no exception. After her surgery she immediately went into one of our trusted foster homes to heal. Here she quickly built confidence and finally had a chance to enjoy being a puppy! Her recovery was far from over, and throughout the next 6 months Bella had frequent checkups, continued her training to adapt and needed lots of careful time building her confidence.

It costs around £200 per month to support a dog in a foster home like the kind Bella needed to get well. Please donate now to help us continue providing these safe spaces for the pets who need it most.

Bella recovered enough to start a new life with her forever family. She continues to live her best life, none of it being possible without the kind contributions of our all-important supporters. A recovery like Bella’s can only be achieved with the support of people like you.
Our shelter has meant safety for thousands of local animals recovering from cruelty. As a separate charity to the National RSPCA, every penny donated goes directly to stories like Bella that need help right now.

Even if you can't personally donate, your help in sharing this message with your friends, workplaces, family and local groups would be greatly appreciated.
