Our Trustees

We are always looking for people to join the committee that currently look after the affairs of the branch.  The branch is managed by a committee of between 7 and 14 trustees who are elected annually. The trustees normally meet on a monthly basis to discuss the management of the animal centre, clinic and shop.  Note: This is an active trusteeship.

There is no financial commitment required; we are looking for people who bring enthusiasm and skills which will assist with the running of the branch.  If you are interested please email angela.scott@rspca-whs.org.uk

Yzanne Heywood – Branch Chair

I work as a Project Support Officer in Daresbury, Warrington. Benson is a four year old black Cocker Spaniel, who was a rescue at 6 months old.

I enjoy hiking, the gym and a sensible amount of wine. I love animals and wildlife and want to help my local area. Becoming a Trustee at the RSPCA WHS is a perfect fit.?

Angela Scott – Secretary

Sandy and I met in 1999, and Sandy came home with me that same day. We’ve been inseparable ever since. We moved from Chicago, Illinois to Warrington, United Kingdom in 2014 with my husband, Duncan.

I first joined the branch as a dog walker in December 2014 to get some exercise. I later joined the fundraising group, and soon became a trustee and home visitor. I earn a living by ensuring US McDonalds always have enough coffee cups, and I also volunteer at Warrington Toastmasters. Sandy often “helps” me manage projects by rearranging and napping on papers.

When I’m not working or volunteering, I unwind with Netflix and whisky.

Paul Draycott

Mark Robinson

I live in Runcorn with my wife Natalie (fellow Trustee) and our rescue dog Lily who was adopted from the branch.  I got involved in the work of the branch to support animal welfare.  I also carry out home visits for the branch and I’m also involved with fundraising through selling items for the branch via Facebook and E-bay.

I work as a Credit Controller for Admiral Taverns based in Chester.  They are a pub letting company and my role entails ensuring that payments are collected from landlords.  Previously I have worked for a number of companies including Virgin Media, Manweb Scottish Power, O2 and United Utilities.

I enjoy going out for walks with Lily and camping holidays in the UK.  I also enjoy watching sports including football and rugby.  I support Aston Villa and Widnes Vikings.

Natalie Robinson

I live in Runcorn with my husband Mark (fellow Trustee) and dog Lily, who was adopted from the branch.  I wanted to help the branch after seeing first hand the great work that everyone does for the cats and dogs.  I also volunteer as a home visitor for the branch.

I work at the University of Chester in the Human Resources department where I have worked for 10 years in a variety of HR roles.  My current role primarily focuses on employee relations and policy development.  I am currently studying for a Masters in Human Resources.

Outside of work I enjoy watching sport, including my favourite teams Manchester United and Widnes Vikings.  I also enjoy undertaking craft activities and running.

Laura Barrow

My name is Laura and I am a project manager with a large telecommunications company. My family and I live in Warrington and we have a 3 year old Maltipoo called Lily-Lou. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, family day trips and when time permits I also like reading.

I applied to become a branch trustee in 2017 as I was looking to give some of my time and expertise to a local cause. I found there was a position within WHS RSPCA and it felt as though it would be a perfect fit for me.
