Animal Care Assistant
Salary: National Minimum/Living wage (according to age)
We are a local branch of the RSPCA and provide boarding for case animals that have been removed from situations of cruelty, abuse and neglect by RSPCA Inspectors. We care for them whilst cases are going through court, providing rehabilitation to enable them to find loving new homes when the court proceedings have come to a successful conclusion.
To bring our staff team up to full strength and maximise our operational flexibility, we are recruiting for a full-time Animal Care Assistant.
You will have a strong commitment to animal welfare, a positive can-do attitude, and the resilience to cope with both the physical and emotional demands of the role.
You’ll be confident handling dogs and cats, with an animal care qualification and ideally with some experience in an animal welfare environment. A full driving licence will be an advantage.
